Is Breaking Bad's Dead Freight episode S5E5 the best hour of television ever?

I'd say Blood Money S5E9 was a close second. The garage scene may even put it over the top. The moment Hank closed the garage door is probably the single best moment in TV history.

I know this board is partial to 'The Constant', but the nerve-racking induced by Breaking Bad is something else. This is one show where I actually am at the edge of the seat. I can never just sit back and relax on the couch.

"Tread lightly". Find me a better line in a more tension filled scene from another show.

most tension filled doesn't mean best scene ever.

There are 70+ years of tv moments so it's safe to say the answer is no.

Come on. Great episode but there are plenty from seasons 3 and 4 that were way better

The train robbery was too unrealistic and cheesy for me. It was like something you'd see in walker Texas ranger or some 80s/90s action show.

5 car train stops and the methlamine is perfectly positioned where the crew is set up, dark zone so nothing can be tracked, brakeman and engineer get out to help man start his car, then they are pumping methlamine out and water in at the same time. the train heist was over the top. It was worse than the magnet episode.

The shock ending redeems the episode.

As cliche and overplayed as it is now, the "I am the one who knocks" speech to Skylar is the best line of the show so far

No dialogue, but the scene from Box Cutter was greatness.

Hugo, is the spoiler thread rumors or legit spoilers? I'm scared to open.

ending of crawlspace was incredibly tense too.

I'm not going anywhere near it. Once word spread of potential spoilers in last week's episode thread I left it alone as well.
