How Terrelle Pryor Outplayed Matt Flynn While Throwing For Nine Yards

It would be an insult to the word awful to say Matt Flynn and the Oakland Raiders first-team offense looked awful during a 28-20 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Friday night at the Superdome in Louisiana.
Yet, people are already characterizing Flynn’s absolutely atrocious first half performance as heroic simply because he walked off the field after five sacks without injury, but he also walked off without helping his team by calling audibles, switching protections, being aware of the rush, scrambling or throwing incompletions.
The truth is, Terrelle Pryor’s four incompletions and 9 yards passing were far more encouraging than anything Flynn did.
yes, I saw the other thread and still decided to post this article.
is fansided like bleacher report?
what a nutty negative piece!
geaux matt!

Matt Flynn 12-16, 124 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT 117.7 qb rating
Terrelle Pryor 1-5 9 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 39.6 qb rating
sounds like this article was written by someone posting here. "frick stats, my eyes don't lie!"

Democratic Party should hire him...

As a lifelong Raider fan...
Flynn was, actually, pretty good.
The team was not prepared to face a 'legitimate' pass rush to begin with, but it looked far worse then it needed to be with the loss of LT Jared Veldheer.
The offense was constantly backed up, and the play-calling was reasonably conservative as a result.

It doesnt matter who that shitbox of a team starts at qb.
I want to see them good again.

I heard somebody on Fox Sports radio begging for Pryor to get the starting job. This was after hearing Jimmy Ott and Charlie Hannagriff earlier in the day say that Terrelle Pryor is the worst backup in the league.

A botched snap on second down at the Saints’ 7-yard line saw Pryor collect the ball, look downfield, find a receiver, and then decide better of it while under pressure, so he tried to get it out of bounds. Pryor’s throw was almost intercepted, but he worked very hard to get that incompletion so the offense had 3rd down at the 7-yard line, instead of ten yards back.

so the worst defense in the history of the NFL is now magically a legitimate pass rush?
insert *best defense in the NFL pic
I think the raiders just suck...JMO

Flynn would have looked a lot better if he had Seneca Wallace coughing the ball up at will.

That's some serious spinning in that article

That's a straight up hit piece
While Flynn was far from all pro he didn't have much help.
The raiders coaches themselves said they didn't prepare for blitzes which sounds dumb in and of itself. I get you prepare off of the film from a week ago but geesh you didn't expect anything different?
And T Pryor was simply horrific.

Pryor is in over his head IMHO.
I can not see him having success in the NFL at all. Raiders fans just prefer to see the running guy but it would be even more of a disaster. I say give them what they want.

Pryor can have success in the NFL, just not at QB. fricking terrible passer, but an absolute freak athlete.

He missed a few guys early in the game, but on that TD drive he showed what he could do with some blocking.
