Seriously tho...I think Collins moving to left tackle and Hawkins who seems to be doing fine at RT, along with Alexander moving to guard makes that one hell of a front

Collins- 6'5 321
Hawkins- 6'6 300
Alexander- 6'6' 350

I tend to agree! Big O-line if they are all healthy

Our line play has been ranging from average to pretty good, and would have been better without all the injuries. LSU should be a little better this year, assuming there are no more injuries, while Alabama's defensive line should fall off a little. Their offensive line will the key to their season. Lost 3 real good players. We will see how good AJ is with less time to throw and getting hit a little more. Mett, however, should receive just a little more time and be hit just a little less if LSU is improved, as I think it will be.

Wow...you really went there sheep bend over...or sheepbend...who knows what yall do in Alabama...but there was really no need to go there when your team recently won a NC without winning their division or conference.

So... you do know weve been extremely predicable on O which is prolly why we were beat at the LOS more than not, right?
Self-licking ice cream cone.

We're predictable on O because we haven't been able to pass the ball with any kind of consistency. Mett shares blame from last year - poor pocket presence and footwork - but guys got in his kitchen mighty fast off the LOS on passing downs. That's on the O-line - especially one blocking for the equivalent of a first-time starter RS sophomore.

ETA: Reading my post that's a harsh assessment. It's on the O-Line and QB equally.

It would be so fricking funny if Kentucky beat Bama this year.

only thing better than that would be for a "Kentucky Miracle' play to win the game just so I could watch the ensuing Sabama meltdown. there would be a plethora of crying fratboys and SEC schedulers. "Heads would roll!"

get better...take care of bidness.

In my oversimplified analysis of LSU football, O-Line play has been the difference between us and Bama over the past four years. They've gotten more out of theirs, which has allowed better RB and QB play, and been the difference in our games with them.

You have to remember that we had two tackles that were on most of the preseason all conference teams. one on the first team and one on the second team. Both were gone by the Florida game.

We also lost one of our starting guards, in the Florida game, to concussion.

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to conclude that losing 60% of your starting OL can have a negative impact on your performance.

Other important factors were the loss of the Honey Badger impact plays and our passing game struggling at times.

Yeah, this isn't a very profound statement esp since Bama avoids UF and UGA.

dude this isn't rocket science LOL we've had the best team to beat BAMA every year. Very physical talented they are just better coached.

I think we can beat them

We all remember little Nicky Sabban crying about teams having a bye week before playing Bama. Don't get. Sanctimonious.

since we beat them at Tusky of the last 6 times, this is an obvious statement given our re-loading-level program.

O line is the difference in LSU and Bama

Don't agree with that. Bama's success is a product of LSU's inability to produce at the QB position. If you do nothing other than swap the Bama and LSU QB's you are looking at a possible 3 out of 4 NC's for the Tigers as opposed to the Tide. LSU has been so inept at QB we literally handed the titles to Bama since no one else in the country is on the level of either team on the defensive side of the ball. If Bama had JJ, they win the same amount of titles as LSU the last 4 years, ZERO!
