I might stop by if I'm home in time.

Eta: I'll bring the beef jerky. How does teriyaki sound?

But if it was about the removal of the sulphur mine facility you'd make a point to go.

And yes, the wheels on the bus go round and round...

Last minute appeal for recreational fishermen: If any of you guys can make it, we'd sure appreciate it. The more folks that get up and speak, the better. Sorry I can't make it...

He had one of the best articulated statements for the cause I've heard. Glad they recorded it, he used big words and everything.

Seriously, he gave an impressive speech.

Basically unfair to allow states with overfished populations of snapper to take a disproportionate amount of the TAC when their state doesn't have the biomass to support the take. Where as we have it but are allocated a much smaller percentage. Alabama under regional would have serious issues because they are taking twice what we are in LA with only 45 mile wide strip of water. Bottom line science is still flawed, fish aren't being counted correctly and until they take that into account we're pissing in wind.

Interesting. I'm still relatively new to the coast and the saltwater game but as i research this whole thing it all looks like it has very little to do with the actual fishery and more to do with government control of a state resource. A problem you can apply to countless areas throughout several industries and something it doesn't look like the Feds will give up on without a real fight.

No lie MB, I've heard him comment on things a 100x's, by far his best. I just wish the venue was larger, but he'll have his chance to speak again in council meeting in San Antonio.
