Third pick in a PPR 10 man league i'm leaning towards Rice with the injury to Pitta and Boldin leaving for San Fran, but Charles in Reid's offense will catch a lot of passes. Who you got?

Charles, depending on his current injury

I had talked myself into Charles but I guess not knowing the severity of the injury caused me to be a little spooked about taking him.

Try any of the 2435729387 threads on the same subject.

My man.. What's this about a Reid offense and jamal Charles catching balls and shite?
Da frick about rice and Baltimore offense? Rice has 278 catches vs 220 for McCoy (Reid's O) since 2009. What about carries doe? Rice 1109 vs McCoy's 835.
The facts people

Pick whoever is left from AP, Foster, and Rice. These are top three easy. Anyone else is just getting too cute.
Odds are you will get Ray Rice. He is a bona fide and consistent stud.

Sense legend. Stop making it.

Charles.
I don't think Rice finishes in top 10 this year. Just a hunch.

Why you should pick Rice, Peterson, or Foster as your top 3. Here is where they finished among RB's in a PPR league.
2012
AP 1
Foster 3
Rice 4
2011
AP 15
Foster 4
Rice 1
2010
AP 6
Foster 1
Rice 5
2009
AP 4
Foster 72 (only had 54 carries)
Rice 2
2008
AP 9
Foster N/A
Rice 49 (only had 107 carries)
2007
AP 5
Foster N/A
Rice N/A
Outside of Peterson's year in 2011 where he only played in 12 games, they have all finished as a worthy first round back. These guys will not burn you. I prefer Peterson in standard leagues because Foster and Rice have better pass catching ability. Rice and Foster make a stronger case in fantasy, but Peterson was on a whole other level last year. I would take my chance with him, but I would prefer the third pick of the draft where I will Ray Rice or Foster for sure.
Ray Rice has finished in the top 5 in PPR leagues every year since he became the Ravens starting back. It does not get safer than that. A 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th at the RB position since 2009. Yeah, I like the sound of that. Any reports of losing carries and being passed by a guy like Charles is just fabrication.
Just like Ray Rice, Foster has been a PPR monster since getting the full time job. In three years, he has finished first, third, and fourth among RB's. That is pretty fricking good.
ETA: This just drives home Gyno's point. I only like AP so much because I am a Vikings fan, but I realize that I would have the second or third pick over the first, so I do not pick him.

Can't really argue with that. Thanks for the knowledge bomb.

As for who I'd take. . . Charles.

Derek mason and Todd heap
Boldin and pitta
Smith and Dickson
It doesn't matter. These are marginal players we are talking about here.
We are talking about a RB (running back) who routinely leads the ravens in targets and receptions every year. Again, rice is the offense.

And he gets all the goal line touches.

OP made it sound like Pitta and Boldin being gone would help Rice's fantasy value. My point was (is), Rice's fantasy value will be unchanged or maybe slightly worse - not better - with those players gone.
Not to mention, I see Bernard Pierce getting more touches this season.

Who actually gives a frick about Bernard Pierce? Rice is a fantasy monster. He gets every touch already.
