I know he's primarily known for his "can't wait" moment, and I really don't know much about this guy, but did we ever give this guy a look? Would he fit with what we are doing?

He's an inside linebacker, and we're pretty deep at that. Who knows.

If he's healthy, why not? We need depth at the position in the worst way.

Also, there could be some dots to connect here with Scott's former coach and the Saints current defensive coordinator.

Schefty didn't list the teams possibly involved, but one article I saw showed only AFC teams. So we're probably not involved anyways. Just pondering.

I think the Saints would serve themselves well abandoning the Will Smith at OLB travesty in waiting and move him to end. That will at least put a somewhat able body in to replace Coleman's absence. Now you really need to readdress the OLB position left by Victor Butler's injury.

Would you rather keep Smith at end over Walker or Foster?

if you add this all up, it equals to signing another injured, overpaid, egoheavy has-been ILB.

That statement didn't translate to "sign Bart Scott". It translates to "oh frick".

To answer Pat's question, I think Will Smith should be long gone but I'm going on the assumption that the Saints just won't get rid of him.

I didn't want to insinuate that you insinuated to sign Fart Scott. Its just my way of posting my witty sarcastic humor of how shitty this thread is.

In the same defensive players except Lewis and Vaccaro? It's a giant leap of faith.

I recall Greer and Sharper making quite an impact one year.

The wording is confusing. I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

You are forgetting about the most important addition ( by subtraction) of no Scott Shanle. Oh and John Jenkins is a beast.
