Anyone know anywhere that builds boats around here? Well, anywhere in south louisiana really. Looking for about a 42' skiff. Thanks!

I figured it was good to let him know. 1/3 of all his post have been in this thread...

What would it cost to build new and outfit a new boat for shrimping? Something near $200k or am I off base?

Depends. Some guys just get the hull and stringers and finish it themselves. Some do the entire boat. Probably around 125-150K to get the entire thing rigged.

Alright last question. Where do you think the place to get a boat built is?

I can't really say. They all do a good job and none of them use junk resins.

I know that Mike and Jimmy are trying to build bigger boats 53 and up. Bobby and Roy do more boats in your size range.
