Guess this is for the most par a question for the NE LA guys but could be applicable to all duck hunters in the state since the show is so popular. Have you seen an increase in hunters (maybe for those that hunt public)? I know I saw a lot more face paint when I came home for the holidays last year. I guess people are buying Uncle Si shirts like wildfire? Is the show and I guess the Robertsons really that big a deal in their home town?

Been really curious since the show is filmed in Monroe/West Monroe and there seems to be a a lot of hands on here from the area.

Phil "Duck Commander" Robertson has been a big deal in NE LA for a long time. We are just wondering what took the rest of you so long to realize it.

Seriously though, they have been very well off for quite a long time and from what I have heard the Duck Dynasty guys are still just as laid back and friendly as they were before the tv show. Because they have been popular in NE LA for so long, a lot of people in Monroe/West Monroe aren't star struck like some people not from the area might be.

It's caused attendance at White's Ferry Road Church of Christ to increase an extra 3 or 4 hundred every Sunday.

Only affect has been just about everyone saying I should be on the show. I had no idea what it was for a long time and apparently I must have grown my beard out several years earlier in anticipation.

So what do I need to start? I'll be purchasing either a Benelli or Beretta very soon. I already have camo, paint and a fricking sick arse beard. What else do I need? I've been training my arse off lately...I don't want to embarrass myself.

The last time I drove by their place, there were a few dozen people lined up to have their picture taken in front of the sign. Does that translate into more hunters? I haven't a clue.

I don't know about public land but they haven't affected me at all. They have been making videos for years tho. They aren't new on the scene of hunting. Just new to reality shows I guess you could say. Even tho their hunting videos were more reality than the show.

When I watch the show, I always laugh at something.

So yes, the effect is happiness for me.

Not really, I have been duck hunting for about 20 yrs. I do not own a DC call, I have all the calls I need. I do watch the show though.

I watch, I've had DC calls dating back to 1995. Hasn't really affected me much as a hunter. My kids like to go to the shop when I go visit my fam. (and I usually have to buy something)

I like their duck calls. Very good for the money. Their wood duck call is the best one I've seen and their teal call is a lot easier to blow than most.

Their hunting DVDs are awesome too.

I didn't see an increase in the public land that I hunt, but the shite I hunt makes for a brutal day. I have always used a little face paint even before the show.

No interest in duck hunting unless I'm invited by someone who has some good land a decent dog and bourbon of some kind

DC hasn't changed my opinion very much.

No shyt. I blew a Commander back in the 80's when most had Yentzen's or Faulk's in their boxes.

Naw, but I've been watching the reruns with my 9yr old daughter who loves it. You have to appreciate their acting ability on a scripted show.

I've known of the Robertsons and duck commander since I started hunting. In fact, my first ever hunting jacket had the DC logo on it.

Been watching their DVDs so long I feel like I've hunted with them.
