This may be true. Had a friend work close to the team and said the reason for this dental check up upon arriving is to make sure there is not major issues so that the player will not miss anytime during the season for things that can be fixed now. He said wisdom teeth would be an example. He could be blowing smoke up my arse though. TIFWIW

Those fitted mouth pieces really are supposed to cut down on concussions. The old school ones we used even if boiled to fit still didn't hold the bite as snug as the new ones do.

Williford looks massive and fairly lean. Pocic looks like a tight end sitting next to him. Even though he's a legit 6'6 and close to 300

This is all correct and getting a teeth cleaning since most will talk with media at one point or another.

Don't all the players get their dental appointments at this time? I think its odd they do that for mouth pieces.

They do, and spares. If you ever walking out of the student section, you can sometimes see the big folder thing they keep them all in. looks like a big CD album almost.
