Geez why do we have so many Italians in this tournament?

Goal for Valencia and also it was mention that 70% of Inter is for sale.

Morratti, Inter's owner, has been extremely candid the past week in discussing his plans to sell a large stake of Inter to an Asian businessman (Thohir).
It's been interesting that he's not shrugged off a shred of blame for Inter mistakenly sticking to an antiquated business model and allowing Inter like much of the league to fall financially from it's historically lofty perch.
Most of his comments have echoed Roma's American owner, James Pallotta, insofar as telling fans upfront that the plans are not for foreign investors that will spend like City, PSG or Chelsea but focus on stadium revenue, growing the international brand and developing youth.

Yup and I think Chelsea is about to smoke AC. Inter looked like they may be finishing int he middle of the table this season as well.

I wish but I think Mazzarri is a very good manager and will have them competing for a CL spot in the long run. They'll still bring in a couple of more of the type midfielders he needs for his system plus some other before this window is over and continue to adjust to his tactics.
May be some growing pains as Mazzarri's style really weeds out a lot of players but I bet they'll at least be better than they've been since Mourinho by November.
In watching Italian teams, I've learned to be more skeptical of summer performances (or even early season form) than most. I've too often been to hopeful when bigger teams look like garbage in friendlies only to see them hit full stride for the final 3/4s of the season.

AC looking pretty decent in this game so far.

Something isn't right with the song they keep playing after the breaks. Either that or it's a really shitty song.

That game, both games really, have played out just like I am afraid a lot of our games will. So much quality but so much squandered in the final third. One of our strikers has got to step up and be the final piece to the puzzle, everything else is there.

To be fair, Lukaku only played about 8 minutes tonight and he could very well be our first choice striker. But I do agree for the most part, we haven't looked too sharp in the final third. Part of it, I'm sure, is the fact that we are in preseason form still. We will see though.

So it's LA Vs Valencia now for fifth place ? Chelsea Vs real for 1st? Everton Vs Ac Milan for 3rd ? Kinda crazy that La could finish with the same record as 2nd an 3rd an still finish 5th

No la is in the third place game which is completely fricking retarded.
They supposedly ran the bracket off of a "point" system. Yet when everton lost saturday they had them penciled in for the third place game. All of a sudden when the galaxy wins that rule pops up on the bracket and theyre playing for third while everton is playing for fifth. And then they didnt run the same shite for the other side of the bracket.
why have a bracket if youre running it off of points? Why not just have two pools of 4 teams?
