It really hit me today how much of a spoiled fan I've become. From a fan of a small market team with no respect in the league, whose biggest dream this offseason was maybe getting Jennings and a good draft pick, to one who can easily forget the signings that just changed our franchise forever. The #1 draft pick that really changed everything. The guy our franchise hinges on, has somehow gotten lost below superficial wants. A perfect offseason cake, and I wanted icing. I wanted it, because thanks to a wonderful front office and ownership group, I can. I have the luxury of being mad about something that doesn't even matter to our team like Greg Oden. Something so trivial. But its time for me to refocus. The fact is, we aren't a rebuilding team anymore. Granted, we still have a few little holes to fill and a some respect to gain, but we are back to competitiveness. And its not because of Greg Oden. Its because of Tom Benson. Its Because of Dell Demps. It's Because of Monty Williams. The luck of getting Anthony Davis. This team has a bright future, and I have to refocus on the future. It will be a truly bright one.

What changed? For all we know they could be a good on paper team like the Eagles. They haven't proved anything yet. That said, I am excited to see them play.

Not sayin that. Just sayin I got spoiled with this offseason. Too much good and I wanted the "cherry on top" with Greg oden. Didn't happen. And we didn't need it too. And Anthony Davis changed everything without a doubt. Where are we right now if we don't draft him?

Not a good comparison.
That eagles team was a bunch of washed up former stars who were at the end/past their prime.
This Pels squad has their most veteran impact player at the ripe old age of 25.
A good eagles comparison (and it played out nearly exactly the same way) was the lakers from last season. Just like the Eagles, I immediately discounted anyone who thought last year's Lakers were a championship threat.
I thought they'd make the playoffs, but competing for a championship was fricking laughable.

I'm spoiled because the offseason was already perfect and I still wanted more. And that's a good thing. Its nice to have a well run organization
