CIA intimidating dozens of operatives that were in Benghazi

Another phony scandal being reported by CNN, not Fox.

LINK

quote:

Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency's missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency's workings.

quote:

It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information could face the end of his or her career.

quote:

Another says, "You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation."

quote:

"Agency employees typically are polygraphed every three to four years. Never more than that," said former CIA operative and CNN analyst Robert Baer.

quote:

In other words, the rate of the kind of polygraphs alleged by sources is rare.

"If somebody is being polygraphed every month, or every two months it's called an issue polygraph, and that means that the polygraph division suspects something, or they're looking for something, or they're on a fishing expedition. But it's absolutely not routine at all to be polygraphed monthly, or bi-monthly," said Baer.

Makes you wonder what possible information they are trying to protect (that has nothing to do with the ambassador's death or the late response).

I think it is safe to say the consulate in Benghazi was a cover for CIA ops. This is another situation that the American people will never know the truth about what happened because of "national security".

Is this the sort of thing that finally allowed Michelle Obama, to be proud of her country?

This is what I've been saying since the beginning. It's not State, it's the CIA. And the "cover up" was not covering up for State or Obama but CIA activities. The CIA was pointing to State and State said no way... this is on you.

Patreaus' mistress even said there was a CIA detention center there. And that would violate an Executive Order prohibiting further detention centers.

In fact, I read where some Americans and Libyan officials didn't even know we had an Annex there. There was no security that could be seen from the outside so as to not draw attention. Clearly they knew though.

If you put together what Broadwell said and the give and take b/w State and CIA, it becomes pretty clear.

Almost all the Americans in Benghazi were CIA. I posted this months ago, if Republicans want to get to the bottom of this, why haven't they gone after Patraeus?

Nice try. I heard reports of funneling of weapons to Syria from Benghazi within a week on local DFW talk radio(Chris Krock Show), while Obama and Hillary were still playing the anti Islam youtube guy game. Someone wasn't playing the anti Islam youtube guy game and he's gone after they smeared him for an affair.

What it God's Name KIND of individuals is that group made of? They sit there and TAKE that manner of intimidation...BLATANT CORRUPTION...full well knowing that it is contrary to everything that this Country has ever stood for and that all the folk have sacrificed their lives for?

Does any of them really think all will end well, if this is allowed to fester; that they will just keep their cushy jobs and retirement... or that their conscience and the lives of their children will be just great?

I'd tell them to take the F'n job and SHOVE IT UP THEIR ARSE.

I don't believe this crap. I can't. Has the CIA lost it? What...they are now serving...just WHAT. Damn, I have to believe we have better men up there on high. If not...this place is done. As well it should be.

The men that stormed Normandy Beach makes this bunch look like landfill refuse. They can shoot me on my porch...and send me to the next parallel universe, where duty, honor and service still holds sway.

Are you implying the CIA is an independent agency that does not report directly to the president? Are you implying the CIA would traffic arms without the Presidents knowledge? The other day someone mentioned that Kerry would only get something done with the ME peace talks if Obama gave him the ok.

I just want to clarify your point that this is a CIA deal not State Dept deal? In that case Hillary MIGHT be let off the hook, but how in the world does this get Obama off the hook.

He wasn't aware is not an acceptable answer.

I agree.

We are arming rebels in Syria when attacked- rebels whose opposition are supported by the Russians.

Begs the question....who was behind the attack? You'd be a complete fool to actually think this was random or about a video.

re: CIA intimidating dozens of operatives that were in Benghazi

quote:

Rand grilled Hillary over this and she lied.

He had her dead to rights the first time he asked if the "U.S. Government" was ever involved with transferring weapons to Turkey out of Libya and she responded "To Turkey? I will have to take that question for the record. Nobody's ever raised that with me." She had a look of incredulity on her face and tried to make light of the question. Because her State Dept. is very much a part of the U.S. Government, she danced away from the question. But then Paul pursued the same question but this time substituted "the Annex" for the "U.S. Govt." and "any country" for "Turkey" - which gave her an easy out - telling him to ask the CIA.

He unwittingly let her off the hook and you could just see the relief in her face.
