Just curious if its any good. I read that theres no loot or real inventory, which kind of turned me off.

I did, I'm waiting on user made runs. The one it came with wasn't that good.

I'm interested but I've got so much stuff to play I'm just going to wait until it goes on sale.

What I've heard...
-Loot is always tied to story events. You'll never kill an enemy NPC and take their gun, for example.

-You can't save anywhere/any time. It only has auto saves. People seem the most upset about this.

-Shorter than people thought it would be.

-Well written with a well fleshed out universe.

-Combat similar to XCOMM: Enemy Unknown is pretty good.

-Good graphics and art direction.

Overall people are saying it's pretty good, but the community created content will eventually make it great. Sounds like a good one to pick up during a holiday Steam sale.

Combat is XCOM lite, there are some specializations which are completely useless at the moment (summoning). There are etiquettes (dialogue opyions) that can be used outside of combat (9 of them) and only 7 of them are coded into the developer campaign. It feels pretty shoddy, but I have high hopes for users. People are working on scripting and prop creation tutorials at the moment.

I like that it feels like the original Shadowrun. Just finished up the apartments and so far I find it entertaining. You seem to rack up Karma kind of quick.

Just finished. Felt like it was a little short. Overall I enjoyed it. It wasn't a game that they tried to "reinvent the wheel" on.
