K. Let's discuss what's going on. Where has the heart gone? Beltran has had some bad luck, but no homers in a month says a lot. Holliday hasn't seen a double play he didn't like, and both him and Craig haven't homered since around the 4th. This is painful to watch. I know they go through slumps every year, when you play a team like Atlanta (eff you UH) and the division rival that's right behind you, you have to show something. 6 runs in this 5 game losing streak.

How do you feel about Matheney? I haven't had that much of an opinion about him, but one of the main knocks I've heard is that he's too quiet. Won't get in anyone's face, which is what this team needs right now.

I'm a big fan of Matheny's I think he's got a good feel for managing and has done a great job. From everything I've read about him in Larussa's books and from what I've seen out if him as a player I have a hard time believing he wouldn't get in someone's face. Seems like he would be the type of guy who is easy going but DO NOT make him mad
