Nah, I'm a member of 247, and was a member when he was on Scout but I wouldn't so I was close to him.

We will definitely have Recruiting Board forums, but I want someone with no conflict of interest (ie, someone who is not in bed with any of the pay sites)...that is important to me, and may eliminate some candidates.

Prominitwon is the only person I'm aware of that isn't a big pay site guy who deserves it.
Still think GeauxAggie792 will do a fine job. He does a good job of living separate lives on the two boards.

I guess you're right.
I just think that its hard to under admin on the recruiting board when its clear what is NOT supposed to be on there, like:
1. Typical forum flaming
2. Calling out recruits
3. Spamming/IM'ing
The 2 and 3 issues are really what is killing the board right now.

can you give me some recent examples of flaming and calling out recruits on that board that weren't dealt with? I would like to know more...

You have the petty stuff like calling Saeed Blacknall afraid, and being scared of competition.
Your always going to have the "why are we offering these scrubs" posts. Its annoying when others are ragging on actual commits like Upchurch, and speculating he won't be a part of this class, and its constantly said. I know its a forum, and opinons are encouraged..but recruits do read this board. Same goes for Hardeman.
Then you have the Cameron Robinson stuff that gets out of hand. Most of the Cameron Robinson threads aren't even viewable anymore because of that.

they are all dealt with eventually, its understandable that the RB is not top priority for the admins because there are so many other boards to police but if these things were nipped in the bud quicker it eliminates the piling on. it's almost like bashing recruits is contagious and the tards can smell it from the OT

Actually it's not understandable IMO.
Tigerdroppings is first and foremost an LSU sports forum.
That being said, the Tiger Rant and LSU Recruiting Board should probably have the most admin attention.

Of your three, number two should be the only thing policed with an iron fist IMO. Flaming happens everyday on every board and really isn't that big of deal unless it's the same guy every time doing the same shitty stick. Then, it should be stopped. Spamming/Iming would get quite a few of this thread's staunchest supporters sidelined with a quickness if the TD.com bylaws were followed to the letter. I wouldn't want to be in Chickens shoes to pick this admin. Quite frankly it will be impossible for one admin to keep up with the recruiting board.

I think the best thing right now is for you to make a stickied thread with strict rules, stating no tolerance.

Has anyone already tried to create a list of rules that would be acceptable for that board? I am come up with them myself, but won't recreate the wheel if someone has already done this in an informal way.

nobody has done this yet...more so unspoken rules
