@LSUBHAMNEWS: President Obama needs to get behind a meaningful cause for once and get the ban on Pete Rose lifted. #JusticeForCharlieHustle

This guys gets it. Who else on here thinks Pete deserves to be in the Hall?

I definitely think Pete Rose should be in the HOF. And his plaque should mention his being banned for gambling after it lists his great on field accomplishments. The same goes for all of the proven PED users. The HOF is a museum.

He doesn't deserve to be in. He knew the consequences of his actions: deal.

He is also, thanks to the ban, the single most overrated player in baseball history not named Nolan Ryan.

I hope he at least gets after he is dead. It is a lifetime ban after all. Ideally, put everyone in now (Rose, Jackson, and the PED guys) that have the career of a typical HOF, but I would settle for posthumous induction.

Let him in the Hall; keep him banned from baseball. Simple solution.

Letting him in as a member would remove the nuke option deterrent against players or coaches gambling

This would be a damn shame.

The all time leader in hits should be there. 23 years is long enough when that douche Braun gets only 65 games.

I feel the only way he should get in is posthumously.

The only one keeping Rose out of the HOF, is himself.

He continues to be a degenerate gambler, who's life revolves around asian women and gambling on the ponies and sports. He was told by friends to distance himself from the gambling, as it would be his quickest way to ever get back in, yet he would show up as the main speaker at a horse betting tourney the next day.

Might take his death to get him in, as he is his own worst enemy.

Pete Rose is a hall of famed in my book. I will not support of of Obama is involved however. Obama can't be taken seriously. Therefore, he can't campaign or make an executive order for the best hitter of the game.

He wasn't playing at the time was he?

And I'm not "challenging" anyone here. Just a question. Is there any proof he altered games because of his gambling?
