Anyone heard the new version of "Hey Fighting Tigers"?

Was playing a round of golf at LSU today and could hear the new sound system from Tiger Stadium. Anyway, a new jazz (ish) vversion of Hey Fighting Tigers was playing. It wasn't the tiger band it was like a jazz band with a person singing the lyrics. I guess they plan on playing that this year through the sound system.
Anyway, has anyone else heard it or have a link to it.

I don't know if the link below still works, nor do I know if this is the version you are looking for.

I think that's Luther Kent singing.
He did another version when we went to the MNC in '03.

What the hell. "Tigers to the Top" is NOT what I expected.

How in the hell have I never heard that jazz version of "Hey Fightin' Tigers" before?
I quite liked it. The gravely voice of the singer gives the ditty some unexpected depth and character.

It's really too bad that this has become a staple of the LSU suite of "fight songs". It's a mediocre Broadway show tune ("Hey, Look Me Over") from a phenomenally forgettable musical ("Wildcat") that starred Lucille Ball, and ran on Broadway for a grand total of about 5 months in early 1961(and only lasted that long because, despite terrible reviews, Lucy's being in the show helped sell tickets). "Fight for LSU", "Touchdown for LSU" and even the ubiquitous "Tiger Rag" are all better fight songs.

It's not a "new" version. It is a little known version.
Luther Kent did that at least as long ago as the '03 NC, maybe earlier.
When I get back to BR, I'm gonna search my old computer to see if I can find the MNC version of the song.

I downloaded those songs a whole back from you, thanks again for sharing. I'm glad that I now know that Luther Kent is the one singing that song.

Hmmm...
I mean, I could listen to it chillin' at the house, but in no way would I want it blasted at the stadium on Saturday's.

Much better version than the original.

I prefer it the traditional way,
And if you happen to be a Rummel Raider,
there are always a couple of extra verses to sing.
Raider Pride.
