where do you think we would be ranked and how do you feel about the rest of our games? do you think we are a front runner for national title game or still way to much football left to play?

at Ole Miss
Furman
at Alabama
Texas a&m
arkansas

A front runner without having played bama or a&m yet? No.

Top 10 absolutely, maybe even top 5 depending on who's left. By that point Bama and aTm will have already played so one of them will basically be out of the picture unless LSU or the winner of that game stumble again.

So basically, we get though Ole Miss and Furman, we're facing two straight games in Bama and aTm where the opponent and ourselves will likely both be in the top 10 still. That's pretty crazy.

Have to say, I was pretty disappointed by the Ole Miss tailgate scene when I made it there in 2011. You guys didn't get out there and really get going until probably 2-3 oclock. By that time, we're already puke and rallying.

This is true, but it was also their fall break

i feel like there would be way too much football left to play as well. but was thinking where would we be in the rankings with wins over TCU, Florida, and UGA.

Initial polls will likely have LSU in the 14-17 range. A 7-0 LSU team could be top 5. So much depends on what schools ranked higher did during those first seven weeks.

If Bama beats A&M
They'll be #1
Ohio st will be #2
An undefeated Big 12 will probably be 3
We should be somewhere from 4-8 I would imagine.

We beat Ole Miss and Bama we jump to top 3, beat A&M probably up to 2 if Ohio st. stays undefeated they'll be 1

ETA: in reality it's just way too early in the season at that point, it will be nice to have beaten UGA and UF though

i feel as if LSU is 7-0 at that point that we should jump a lot of other teams that are ranked ahead of us that are undefeated due to the wins over TCU, UF, and UGA.

Yes. LSU would be a frontrunner for the NC in the sense that they would control their own fate with Bama and A&M still left to play. They would not need any "help" to reach the NC game. Would definitely be ranked in the top 10, and possibly the top 5 if LSU starts 7-0

Plus their team was putrid and just playing out the string.

We have a tailgate in BR as well so we know how to do it, our tent in Oxford will be half P&G. As for 2011, well that was just an abortion on all accounts

Well I think most would consider LSU as a front runner for the national title now. Obviously, winning those games would only reinforce that perception. The way the Georgia, TCU, and Florida wins looked would play a big part in how I felt about the remaining games. If LSU played well and looked strong against (especially) Georgia I would feel good about bama and A&M. If they were shaky wins - I wouldn't be very confident and would expect a finish comparable to 2012.
They'd be ranked in the top 5 depending on other teams performances up to that point.

An Ole Miss lady came up to me and asked why we wasted our money. We could have watched this arse whooping at home.

A & M will NOT be in the top 15 by the time we play them. one of the most overhyped teams in history. they lose at least 4 games. Now Bama on the other hand we WILL struggle with........
