Yes. Playing UF is far more entertaining than playing any other SEC East team.
I wish LSU would meet UF in the SEC Champ. game one day. Tired of it being UGA so much.

One of my favorite games every year. Lots of great memories.

When LSU and Florida cash in on those big gates and extracurriculars that come with a constantly nationally televised game, that is unfair to the SEC schools who don't get to play a popular opponent and be televised all the time. :troll:
Everybody stop whining about fairness. The Florida rivalry does way more good than harm.

Breaking news!
LSU has had the easiest schedule in the West over the past 10 years.
West teams that have played the East champs over the past 10 years in the regular season.
LSU 4 times
BAMA 5 times
AUBIE. 7 times
There used to be an actual rotation though. None of this bridge schedule stuff where one team always seems to benefit

I live in fl., so it is fun to go every other year an tailgate with my gator fans and do the same in B R

Yes, I just thought it was dumb to play Florida every year and only have 1 rotating team, but I don't think that is the case anymore

Uhh, how many times did a loss to LSU cost a South Carolina or Florida from winning the East? If you are going to come up with bullshite stats, go post the records of the East teams LSU has played for the last decade and then compare that to the records of the teams from the East that Bama/Auburn have played.

I like playing the gators but when the gumps get the Kentucky and Vanderbilt there is no equity in the schedule. So no.

Since UF has been the dominant team for so long in the east I wanted to play them. Other than the Spurrier years it's been a very competitive series. Don't want to see it end.

I like playing Florida every year, but if we only have two cross-divisional games every year, then permanent cross-division opponents don't make sense. Add a 9th conference game and I am fully in favor of playing Florida every year.
Posted on 7/21/13 at 7:41 pm to BullGatorIvan
Sure. You have to play the best teams in order to be the best team.
Posted on 7/21/13 at 7:42 pm to BullGatorIvan
I don't think there should be permanent cross-division rivals. Change it up. Make the league competitive.

Getting rid of permanent cross-divisional rivals would make the league more competitive because you are less likely to have one team have a harder schedule during times when certain programs are outperforming others.

I'd prefer we play our division and then the SEC East on a random, equal schedule, similar to what the old Big 12 did.
Posted on 7/21/13 at 9:40 pm to BullGatorIvan
I like us playing Florida every year. Just wish the schedule were more fair.

GREAT POINT!!!

Yes, you can depend on FL To be a quality team. Even in '03 when FL beat us it sounded better losing to 5 loss FL Than USC losing to 5 loss Cal. Even though Cal would've beat the crap out of FL with Aaron Rodgers
