My next 35 "outdoor days"

Nervously excited about the next few weeks....
On Tuesday morning at 7am I will be sitting in my kayak in the Missouri River at Kansas City and will have to reach St. Louis by midnight Friday night. That gives us 88 hours to paddle the 340 miles to St. Charles/ St. Louis. The weather will be iffy the first day, but if I can cover enough distance day one, I should be able to get ahead of the rain/ wind threat for the remaining days.
4 weeks after the MR340, a friend and I fly to Seattle to attempt to summit Mt. Rainier. This pic shows our path and starts at camp Muir (night 1) at 10,000 feet. Night two we sleep in tents on Ingrham Glacier with summit attempt on day 3. Oh yeah, I've never climbed anything before so no idea if I'm prepared!
Nervousness is starting to outweigh excitement.
I will post a thread with a link to my satellite tracker so you guys can follow along for both. The kayak race thread will be on the OT because a post there several years ago about the Tour d Teche got me started doing the kayak ultra marathons.
I won't have time to upload pics to photobucket and then post during the race like I did during training, but I'm going to see if my safety crew will learn how so when I text them pics they can post.
:A few from last year
Before the race
My red/green bow light suction cup came loose and fell overboard. luckily it was teathered, but I fell back in pack while fixing as you can see here
Getting passed by "more horsepower". Solos start an hour before multi person boats.
No stopping at night...
And then football season starts and things really get busy!

Very cool. What service are you using for Ranier?

Make sure to enjoy an ice cold Rainier after you summit.
And be safe.
And be safe.

Good luck.... Seems like your view will be better during your race than it was paddling down bayou plaquemine.
