What type do you prefer? Kahle? Treble?
I've always used Kahle , but thought about using trebles to catch the "softer" bite. Advantages or disadvantage to each? What size hooks do you use and why?

1/4-1/2 oz lead head
I use them for everything from speckled trout to lemon fish.

Kahle 2/0 for trout and I guess we have some 3/0s for when we are after reds.

I prefer a kahle. Every guide I've ever fished with has nothing but trebles on their boat.
I don't know that means, but I prefer a big sharp kahle. I find that you don't lose specks much with a 2/0 or so kahle.

2/0 or 3/0 kahle. Don't think you miss many with a Kahle if they actually engulf the bait.

Much better hookup ratio, but you kill more too. I like to use the octopus circle hooks, they have a little smaller profile than the kahle.

Tournament days I like a #10 treble. Any other day I prefer the octopuss circle mainly because most of the time I'm not keeping fish.

A #10 is not too small? I was thinking you'd use a #4 or so.

Sometimes I will use a #8 if I'm using pogies or croakers 5 inches or bigger. Artie tournaments I us 3/8 ounce no slack tackle mojo's

#2 or#4 treble
#2 khale
Circle hooks are good for croakers. You can just let the fish set the hook and reel in.
Eta: with a treble I can't get them off as fast
