Trailer

Korra apparently will finally premiere in September, so only 2 months or less away now. Trailer looks pretty damn good, and it seems as if most of it is going to be spent in the Spirit World, something that was really not all that well explored and just briefly mentioned in the original series. Awesome that the Owl Dragon is coming back from the previous series. Really hope they bring back the Face Stealer as well.

They premiered the first episode at Comic-Con, so I can't imagine that they won't debut the first episode online before the actual premiere date. They did the same for the first season, so I think they'll do it for this one.

And let's keep the posts centralized here if we can.

Once I get some money, I'm gonna purchase the first book. Never got the chance to watch it.

I never saw any of The Legend of Korra episodes.

How do they compare to the Aang ones, which were fricking great?

They're great. If I had to rank the seasons:

1) Earth
2) Air
3) Fire
4) Water

That would probably be my list too even though my favorite episode was from the Fire book.

I hope we get to have a few more episodes with Aang. I like Korra but seeing Aang as a full blown Avatar was badass

Aang was the tits. I felt like such a kid watching that cartoon online all the time but I loved it. I was pretty excited about Korra, and it is good, but not quite as good as the Aang ones.

The whole first season was kind of odd because she never learned a new element and it seemed to end like their wouldn't be more books b\c she saved the world. I could be misremembering though. Either way this avatar is completely different. Aang was a cool calm cat who respected his elders and wanted to learn. Korra is more of a brat who wants everything done her way.

Either way it's good shite.

Are there going to be separate threads for Book readers and nonreaders?

"ok" is way more praise than it deserves. I'd say it is probably the worst adaptation of a popular material ever put to film.

Nothing could be worst than Dragonball Evolution

I've seen Dragonball Evolution, and The Last Airbender makes that look like Citizen Kane. Plus Dragonball isn't even close to as good source material as Avatar is, to where even if DB Evolution is a worse movie, The Last Airbender is a worse adaptation.

It really is horrible and it could have been really good. Dragonball never stood a chance of being good it's better off as a cartoon

In the right hands it could be the next Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. DBZ's source material has no chance at reaching those heights or that level of an audience. I'm sure they're going to try again and this time hopefully treat it more seriously.

The remake will probably star Jayden Smith as Ang.
