You generally have to be a decent QB to make watch lists for an award that honors the best QB.

the laughable one is bo wallace

I did a once over and winced when I saw Bo Wallace. I just watched the Ole Miss/LSU game yesterday and thought Mett was the better quarterback in that game save the 58 yard run by Wallace for a touchdown.

Other than that the list seems fair.

Can someone explain this to me?

I think he is worthy of the list. He performed really well for his first full year of play. He threw the ball well and has dynamite speed and explosiveness. I was really surprised that he made such good decisions.

Pachall isn't a huge suprise to me. Despite his demons,he is a pretty good quarterback. Bo Wallace & Tyler Russell > Mett is somewhat alarming.

Ask Johnny Manziel, I'm pretty sure he wasn't on this list last yr either...........Things seemed to work out alright for him. Not saying that ZM is going to win the Heisman, but this list is a watch list, nothing more. Lets play some ball.

Just looked up the stats for 2012 and Bo Wallace was ahead of Mett in pretty much everything. In fact, based on last season's stats as a whole, Mett doesn't deserve to be on the list. He was either average or below average in the SEC in every category.

LINK

ETA: I fully expect Mett to look MUCH better this season...didn't mean to sound overly negative there.

Agreed

Manziel wasn't even penciled in as a starter on his own team at this time last year.

I get what your saying. Bo Wallace was pretty careless with the ball in the LSU game though and it shows with his stats throughout last year 22 Touchdowns and 17 interceptions. As a matter of fact he threw 4 more pics than any other quarterback in the SEC last year.

I agree that Mett is going to have a better year. Experience is huge and he has some. A recurring theme of last year was drops by the Wide Receivers, backs and some by the tight ends. Got to get that cleaned up for Mett to have a better season.

Folks are underrating the kid. As long as he can keep his nose clean, he'll be a solid QB for TCU this season.

Bo Wallace is definitely better than ZM8 at this point. Idk about T.Russell.

He hasn't shown me anything that says he deserves to be on a watch list for best QB in the nation.

Not saying some others on the list aren't surprising, but this isn't something to be upset about
