Anyone have an affordable handicapper they use for picks. I'm not a big gambler but play steady action. 50 is usually my max unit and I'm looking for some one to work with me through football season.

Tons of good cappers on twitter. Lots give out picks for free.

@BehindTheBets sells his picks for a lifetime fee. He donates the money to cancer research. It's pretty affordable.

I hit a 7 team cfb parlay last year and was 1 point away from hitting an 8 team nfl parlay

seriously though, i had excellent years in cfb, nfl, and nba. lost a fair amount on fricking cbb though, and it wasnt bad picks, it was bad allocation of funds. id win a lot of small plays and lose my biggest ones. wont do that this year, probably going to keep a set unit for basketball.

Save your money. 99.9575% are full of shite and sales people ripping you off.

DO NOT FALL FOR IT.

Just trust me on this. If you really know a sport, you are probably better than a "handicapper" selling picks. I have a buddy that bought picks from at least 100 different sources over ten years. I myself have bought picks from different services for years back when I used to bet on sports regularly (I don't anymore, I make a few bets a year and that is it).

I tracked over 8,000 picks from between 15-18 "professional handicappers" for a year and a half. I paid a few thousand for various packages (I was betting pretty big, like a million in total action over a year and a half or so). I meticulously tracked all the bastards on a spreadsheet for a long time across all sports for over a year. Every day.

Result, they are worthless. None of them hit over 55% on -110 games. Not a single one over those 500 days. And they were/are some the biggest names in the industry as well. Guys from covers, sbg, etc.

You have a few of the most respected posters on this massive site when it comes to the topic of sports betting telling you not to do it, if that doesn't tell you something then you will have to learn the hard way.

If these experts were so good at picking winners, they wouldn't need your money funding their bankroll.

The weekly bet thread on here has been pretty damn successful the last two years, it and twitter are your friends.

Rance is great.

Also, you need to look at @VegasRunner and @phillygodfather

There are also a ton of guys who post their own pics on twitter at no charge.

I can give a list later but have to leave for a meeting right now.

I need to see if RAS is gonna hire me again this year to report the injuries. Maybe he'll give me the picks before they lines change this year.

I built my CFB spreadsheets over the last 4 years.

2012: 56% (141 games)
2011: 57.1% (119 games)
2010: 57.9% (121 games)
2009: 63.2% (136 games)

303-214 (58.6%) over 4 years or $6760 betting to win 100 @ -110.

It isn't much, but it's +units.

Have you purchased his picks before? I was thinking about trying him out or a month just to check him out. His memberships are cheap

He has experts on his staff for most sports. He's killer at NFL.

Of course I bought it when it was a 50 dollar lifetime membership. So I've got my money's worth.

The MSB bet threads are a good start. There's a ton of good folks in there that know what they're doing. Not going to name names for fear of leaving someone off but several have already posted in this thread. I haven't really seen it up lately (it's mostly fb and bb related) but if it starts up again I can start posting my baseball picks - did alright in the first half, its been a weird year.

You need to sign up for Twitter. Like Bama said, there are folks on there posting solid free picks. @VegasRunner www.vegasrunner.com is a pay service that is somewhat steep but he is a good follow on Twitter. Really posts a lot of explanatory stuff and his free steam plays are generally money.

Here are some other good follows, some are sport specific or specialize in a handful of sports, some are pay but give a few free plays here and there and some are all free. Get on there and feel them out for a few weeks until you figure out who is good at what, etc.

That should get you started and you can grow your own follow list from there
