Holy shite I've never seen so much fishing gear. Met Bill Dance as he tried to sell me his lures. 2 of the cooler things I saw were some electronic Livingston lures that complete the circuit when the lure hits the water to rattle. Also, something called the ibobber which is like a regular bobber/fish finder that sends info to your smart phone on depth, temp, fish etc.

Definitely going again next year.

Sounds like something I would have owned when I was single.

Yeah it was pretty cool. You pitch it out and turn the app on your phone and its just like a fish finder.

Not sure if you are interested in kayaks....but did you happen to check out the Power Pole Micro or the new Wilderness Systems Ride 115X?

Who did you go with? Are you a member of the media or do you own a tackle store or something? Most folks don't realize that I-Cast is not open to the general public. I actually have a friend who just happened to be in Vegas for a week on vacation & he was unable to get in. I have friends who are sponsored by a few different companies that were there but for the most part access is pretty restricted to folks in the fishing industry.

I walked past some kayaks that looked cool, but I was.more interested in tackle. Some cool new diawa rods and reels and lots of impressive looking lures.

And I work at the host hotel and learned early on to buddy up with the heads of convention sales. So I can usually get a badge to anything from them. I only usually go to SEMA, CES, the pizza makers convention, and MAGIC for the free clothes. This was my first ICAST. There were fishing interviews with all the pros going on as I walked past and like I said I got to meet Bill Dance. Not wait in line to get a picture signed, but walked by, kinda said hey is that Bill Dance, and then he was like well let me show you our new stuff....

Unfortunately the porn convention's at the hard rock.

That's been out for awhile now. . . works well in theory. . . until you break your line and realize that fish just cost you $50 (cost to replace the sensor)

I heard they had 9500 people this year, which is pretty good. But I'm glad I didn't go, just had to much going on with work

Next year in Orlando is gonna be huge..
