tyreke at SF looking more likely

I haven't seen anything else on the rumor mill and with the recent press conferences, the:
Jrue/EG/Tyreke lineup is looking more and more likely to start against most teams next year.
Do you like this lineup?
LINK
It seems like we're interested in developing Tyreke into a SF. Maybe the kings relied on his talent too much to orchestrate the offense?
If we do that, i'm becoming really interested in an Anderson for Asik & montejueanas trade.
with Jrue/EG/Reke/AD, we'd have one of the best fastbreak teams in the league

METAIRIE, La. — Tyreke Evans says he's looking forward to playing alongside old friend Jrue Holiday with the New Orleans Pelicans and that he'd have "no problem at all" playing small forward.
The 6-foot-6 Evans, who visited the Pelicans' headquarters on Thursday, is a former NBA rookie of the year who has played mostly at guard during his first four seasons in the NBA, all with Sacramento. A three-team trade also involving Portland brought Evans to New Orleans, where he joins a team that already has a starting back court of Holiday and Eric Gordon.
Pelicans coach Monty Williams says Evans will be fine playing on the wing offensively, but that the team will have to work on preventing Evans from getting caught in too many height mismatches on the defensive end.

Wow. You can tell that after one summer league game? What's the lotto numbers Einstein?

I'm not sure about the Anderson/Davis part. Jrue at PG, EG at SG, and Tyreke at SF seems very likely at least. I'm guessing aminu is somewhat of an insurance policy if reke isn't working out well or if he can't guard guys like Durant.

So-called positions and who gets to watch the tip on the court . . . two things that get entirely too much attention.

I don't think this will be our starting lineup, but it'll be our crunch time lineup

exactly the only thing thats certain is that Tyreke, Jrue, and Gordon will each get a lot of minutes

It seems that the overstated need for a legitimate SF may already have been worked out with Tyreke.

I watched a ton of Kings games last year and they already tried this. He cannot play the position full time. I'm sure the team will do a lot of 3 guard gimmick line-ups, but I hope that wasn't the plan..

I think he has the talent to play the SF position. How many SFs can stop guys like Durant and Lebron anyway? with some work his quickness could probably stop other SFs from driving right past him. Got any particular matchups he couldn't handle in mind?
+ Davis can give solid help defense and if there is another big guy behind him, I don't see any trouble with rebounding.

Opponents 3 position under 6'6... Evans play the 3
Opponents 3 position over > 6'6.... Evans comes off the bench and Aminu starts 3

When we got tyreke, a lot of people were saying that he "absolutely would not play SF" or something along those lines.

You sound just like me when I was arguing for Anderson to play SF. Of course, everyone said that was crazy and he wasn't quick enough. So I'll just say Evans isn't physical or big enough. Like I said, the Kings were loaded with guards and already tried it. He doesn't play close enough to the basket and shies away from contact..

Not physical and big enough?
Anderson would be a better SF?

Monty and evans talking about reke, not Anderson, playing SF is enough to throw that comparison out the window. Igoudala isn't exactly physical either. SAC didn't have a legitimate shotblocker or a lot of size, so it was harder for evans to play SF in that system.

What I know for sure is that the team has options this year. We have several different plausible lineups and can match personnel to different teams. And that's awesome.

Asik would halt that train. Slow as hell.
