Man look at all those endangered snapper. If we can get the enviromental left wing wack jobs on our side for rigs to reef we might have a chance. As much as I hate those loons on just about everything else Without oil rigs our fishing sucks offshore period.

Disagree.

There are still plenty of places to catch fish.

You just turn into Florida and bama fishermen

Sure you could still catch palegics but your reef fish such as snapper, grouper and amberjack etc. would be few and far between if all you had was natural bottom to fish. Ever notice what a good offshore charter trip is like in states without offshore platforms compared to LA?

That's why you gotta know where the good reefs are

Our big snapper, grouper, exotics and huge aj come off of natural reefs

We got back an aj head last week that would have been pushing 90-100 pounds

But yall gotta admit that the natural reefs LA does have could no where near hold the fish populations we enjoy without the habitat created by the oil rigs. Can you imagine the cluster frick it would be to fish just natural reefs if that is all we had given the amount of sport fisherman in LA.

I'm not arguing that. I hope they keep the rigs to keep people off my reefs. Hahaha

As long as I got my reefs and some chip channel bouys for bait.

I'm good
