Finally started watching GOT - what is in store?

Only 2 episodes in...how crazy does it get? I'm guessing the dragon eggs are gonna come into play at some point.
Also I don't understand how the dumbass blonde hair guy thinks the warrior arm dudes are going to retake his empire and then just hand it over to him...why wouldn't they just control it, or maybe his sister will kill off the big warrior and then control it.
