The roster is crowded but it could just be a cap move. He's only making minimum wage so we can cut him now, sign a guy to our cap space, and then resign Thomas using a minimum exception.

If this is a final cut for Thomas then they'll do it as early as possible so he can try and get on with another team. Monty and Demps go out of their way to help the scrub players that they used to be.

I think Lance is a great practice player to keep on the roster so I hope it's just a money move, especially after reading his tweets from yesterday:

You can have 15 players on the roster and a guy that hustles 100% of the time is exactly the kind of player you want pushing your talent in practice.
