So if he picks us either Jennings(which I doubt) or Rettig will transfer right? I don't see how those 3 could split playing time. Jennings and Rettig will more than likely be RF(I can see Jennings getting playing time this year). So lets say that Jennings does play. This means, Rivers(S), Jennings(SO), Rettig(RF), Harris(F).
Who knows what can happen at this point...the same can be said about any other QB if we don't land Harris and end up taking another one this class. I honestly think it is a good thing to take at least 1 QB each class. Nothing is wrong with depth at that position.
It's too early to imply that Rettig or Jennings would transfer. Competition brings out the best in people and the depth chart could change dramitically come Fall 2014

Btw, not saying Sims is going to Auburn. I just remember the tweet and him going to Auburn camp. I think Harris and Quinn commit to LSU soon.

Sims is all over the place.
He seemed really high on UGA after visiting there only to have his mom tell an espn guy he was no longer considering them or LSU last month. she also said Southern U was in his top 5. He's had bama #1 for a long time but it may not even be commitable.

Unrelated to your quote, I was thinking Quinn might end up at Clemson but with the Harris comment about Quinn and since LSU is the "warmer" common school, it is beginning to look good for LSU for both.
Related to the quote, I was actually shocked that Rivers is still at LSU. 2012 - 2nd team QB 2013 - hard to believe he will be higher than 3rd team QB with Jennings moving ahead of him and IMO will not be redshirted. IF Harris doesn't sign with LSU, I'm for skipping the QB position this year, but still...how can Rivers EVER move up the depth chart more than 1 spot (Mettenberger leaving)?

I have nothing against Sims and from what I've seen seems to be a good player (NOT a Dupre, NOT a Noil, NOT a Quinn, NOT a Blacknall). HOWEVER, in a year where WR is clearly the strength in LA prospects, he is a ways down the "depth chart" at WR. Whether he considers LSU or not, that is moot....LSU is not considering him. I doubt his offer from Alabama is committable and IMO, they blew a scholarship on Falkins last year.
Hope Sims finds a good division 1-A school...hopefully out of the SEC in case the LSU staff and I were wrong on the guy.

I'm starting to think that when something happens, it will happen then.

grandma will be making the phone call to the coach he decides to go with on the 15th.
I hope the call is because she is glad he is staying in State. I wonder what the significance of Brandon's grandmother making the call is.

Fans are the least reliable source on the planet...probably including myself. I go by videos AND offers mainly...the services are all over the map on people. See Chark...see Upchurch for examples. I was concerned about Upchurch since he wasn't the most known guy around but I watched his "highlights" and even if they are his best plays...good enough for me. The only concern I might have is if he grows out of his WR frame and then we might be talking "how good of a TE is he?"
IF LSU signs Upchurch, and 3 or all of these (Blacknall, Dupre, Quinn, Noil), that is clearly an A+ at the position and have to believe by far the best WR in LSU history.
P.S. Bet you thought the old saying "eyewitnesses are the most unreliable thing around" came from witnesses at traffic accidents or bank robberies? Actually, my theory is it comes from watching spring college football games!
