Crabmeat Au Gratin recipe?


Craving some crab for some reason and was thinking about making this. Any good recipes? And what would you serve with it?

Bechmel sauce... Flour butter roux till just incorporated not browned, add cream, milk or half and half, season with red pepper salt, etc, add shredded cheese till you like the consistency, pour over a pound of jumbo lump that has been gently picked through (I toss the crab meat with cut green onions and salt pepper) top with cheese and or bread crumb and bake till bubbly

Serve with French bread, maybe a green veggie

I recommend a light sauce not heavy with the cheese or with no cheese in the sauce using it just on top. Try gruyere. Works well with crab.
