Has anyone built there own? I have room for 12x12 maybe 12x14. Just looking for any plans, or tips/tricks. TIA.
Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to do.

Can you cut rafters? Have tools?

Shouldn't be hard. Make sure the siding hangs over the foundation and you can do a sloped roof instead of a gable.

Thanks, I'm looking online for designs but most are crazy arse designs

12x12 would be an efficient use of 4x8 sheets of plywood for floors and walls. . Just my 2cents. You can increaae to 16x16 efficiently as well.

Kind of wanted to pour a foundation but that's a good idea for the plywood at those dimensions, wouldn't have to rip as much plywood that way..

You can stack a lot more shite in a building with 10' walls than 8'...

Good point, I do have a lot of shite

Check and see if you will have any code/building permit issues...

My dad works at the permit office

I built a 12x16 shed when we built our current home. It wasn't bad.
I did it by myself and had it under roof and shingled in 3 days times, but I would recommend help.

Oh yeah, I'll have help. And I know I want a way to hang my yaks on the side of it.

Mine has a 5 foot double entrance door, just big enough for my riding mower. I built two levels of shelving around 2 sides of it for storage, then left one for other items. I made sure the first level of shelves was tall enough to get all of my power equipment under (mower, snow blower, tiller, pressure washer, shop vac, etc). Good luck with it!

I'm about to go get an exact inventory of everything I want to put in it...this should be fun

I have a design I did for a buddy for a material takeoff. Simple gabled roof about that size with single verts. I'll gather up the info and send it to you if you want.

And build it twice as big as you think you need.

I just build an 8x8 shed that I use for a chicken coop. Wasn't hard. Like always, I spent more time going back and forth to the hardware store than I actually spent building the damn thing.
