Wouldn't surprise me if he became the number 1 overall player in this class after his performance.

this. I mean, he dominated the whole time. I know the outlook is hazy for CR and LSU, but damn I want him here.

He's a good looking prospect. I'm rarely impressed by offensive lineman during these types of drills bc I played the skill positions but he's talented. Big but not fat. Great length and quick feet.

I know that's been the sentiment here lately. But what specifically has led people to think this? I haven't followed recruiting much this year (and I regret that, considering how good this class should be), so I'm not sure what has led people to have such a gloomy outlook for landing CRob. I mean just the other day, someone posted a pic of him with Mingo, both of them throwing up a L with their fingers.

I think Robinson and Fournette should be 1 and 2.

Cam told Cornwell before he committed that if he came to bama he wouldn't get touched.

But after his performance at the Opening, his national profile just increased big time. If he ends up being the #1 overall prospect nationally, that could increase local pressure and make it more difficult for him to leave the state.

It's going to be a battle til the end to get his signature for sure.

There is talk of Cornwell dropping to a 4* after a poor showing at the Opening added to the possibility of Harris giving a verbal soon...timing and momentum looks good for LSU.

i never knew why cornwell was initially a 5 star QB. He didn't have great stats in HS. I think the best QB in the class is Will Grier.

Exactly. Recruiting "experts" bumped him too much too soon. Now their comparing him to Zeke Pike. Size and arm strength aren't the most important qualities in a QB.

Bama bump for Cromwell. As far as Cam, he wanted to be top 5 overall after The Opening. Looks like did all he could to insure that happened.

just for conversation, speedy tested off the charts at the opening. why wouldn't his performance be as good as cam's performance. why wouldn't speedy get bumped into the top 5?

Starting points mainly. Cam was already a consensus #5 overall player. Speedy was a composite 51 overall player.

I think Dupre and Tony Brown should be in the top 5 along with Fournette and C-Rob.

Imo, tough for a slot wr to be ranked that high

Your national top 5 consists of: in no order

Leonard Fournette
Tony Brown
Cameron Robinson
Mala-Kai Dupre
Da'shawn Hand

They all honestly have the talent but 4 out of 5 nationally top ranked players - most being from LA - wouldn't fly haha

You also have his measurables at 5'10" 176. He's an amazing player, but that's usually not going to get you ranked that high. It's just like Landry being undervalued due to height.
