Watching news last night, they stated he is playing minor league ball and just got promoted but was on the inactive list because he starts Ole Miss fall workouts soon. Can he be a professional in one sport and amateur in another actively?
I know we have seen some that have finished baseball and come back but I don't recall many doing them at the same time.

Yes, I'm pretty sure this just means he can't play college baseball now. I believe your eligibility is determined sport by sport.

Mewelde Moore played minor league ball during the summer while at Tulane. So, yes it should be fine.

I thought Jeremy Bloom caught all sorts of shite from the NCAA because of his pro skiing career or whatever it was in the offseasons from football. Was that skiing sponsorship related rather than the sport itself?

Don't say anything bad about him at a game. His mom might be around.
