Also traded Jefferson and Biedrins to Jazz in order to unload salary.

They're gonna trade Barnes + Bogut and get Howard and have a stacked arse starting 5

I'd be slightly upset about losing Barnes just because I like him as a former Heel, but getting Howard would be totally worth it. Rather lose him than Thompson.

Not sure the Lakers are interested in sign and trade that will stack the frick out of a division opponent.

Although a lineup of big IF healthy Bogut, Gasol, Barnes, Kobe, and Nash could be pretty competitive.

It's either that or they ship Bogut and Barnes somewhere else, still sign Dwight and now the Lakers are really left empty-handed

That trade doesn't work, need more pieces added to that.

Dwight > Bogut and was on that team last year and they blew anal chunks. If that team was even close to as good as people thought they would be they would have made a better showing IMO.

That team didn't do well because they only had 1 starter under the age of 30 and their styles didnt mesh. Kobe is ball dominant and Steve Nash is one of the best PG's ever who is used to always having the ball. The coach and PG are used to fast pace score a lot style offense. The other guys are used to going slow. The team was destined to suck arse everyone was just to attached to the names.

That team could be elite if they had the right coaching

Warriors gave up draft picks to the Jazz.

They can't trade Barnes and Bogut for Dwight. They'd need to give up more.

Plus, why would the Lakers go over the tax for that with no picks thrown in? Doesn't seem likely.
