Heading to the bend for the weekend. We have a camp on the lake, but I was never into bass fishing in my younger days. Used it strictly as a hunting camp. Recently got into bass fishing and had the weekend off so figured why not? Any tips would be appreciated I got into bass fishing on the river, and never really fished lakes fwiw

Appreciate it man. I just went picked up 5 deep diving cranks, and I've heard the watermelon green is the way to go, so picked up some brush hogs and flukes. Hopefully I'll have some good hoist pics in the am

C-rig brush hogs, lizards, or trick worms. I prefer watermelon red out there, but it's really about what you have confidence in.

Oh and if you plan on night fishing, go get you a pack of black emerald baby brush hogs, Texas rig em with a 3/16 oz weight, and thank me later

Read and pay attention to the weather reports.
About a month ago everything was fairly clear but the reports called for sudden squalls.
Well the squalls came and it was hell on the lake if you got caught out there.

We are tearing them up. Caught 4 3 pounders With Ribbits in the grass mats, and so far have a nice 5 pounder jigging with watermelon red finesse worm. So far a good day.

Nice! I'm heading to my camp in about an hour and staying all weekend. I was gonna say that hollow bodied frogs and ribbits would probably be good early in grass. Also Zara spooks off points in open water.
