I'm usually the first person to say "A win is a win," but we sure did have some embarrassing games last year.

Au still had something to play for at that point.
Rest of those games were after Alabama and just like the fans , the players didnt care.
Ole miss and Clemson had lot left to play for... Ark for some reason never lays down against us even though they usually lose.
I suppose the golden boot is more appealing to pigs.

Also seems like each of those games we were real close to putting game away early and something dumb happened.

You do understand the master strategy of the head coach, do you not?

I just dont know if I ever buy the "players were not trying anymore" talk. But not knowing any personally I cant say this is not true.
But I have seen LSU flat out trample teams even when the MNC was out of reach. Was this NFL class different personality wise?
Also - A&M - who looking back at the schedule and scores I wonder how we beat - barely beat Ole Miss. JFF I think hit a 3rd and 20 from A&M's own endzone to start the comeback.
But Texas absolutely demolished Ole Miss and then turned out Texas sucked. This of course supports the any given Saturday - but Damn - we shoulda skull blanked some of the down teams this year.
I guess its wondering about that D with all the stars. Were they up and down mentally or giving a crap? Anybody know the guys.
Just weird the D should have destroyed.
Editing as I'm pondering this. Did the Honey Badger provide more than his talents to this D? Did he provide the motivation and killer attitude? Was that loss big enough that future sunday players missed it and needed it? I have no idea - just wonderiing

Mett played like complete garbage in every game not in Tiger Stadium.
Home: 8 Games, 64%, 8.5 YPA, 9 TDs, 5 INTs, 15 Sacks, 144 Rating
Away: 5 Games, 50%, 5.7 YPA, 3 TDs, 2 INTs, 17 Sacks, 103 Rating
For the Ole Miss game, the defense didn't show up. That is why those games were close.

The number of sacks that Mett took last year was appalling. JJ laughs at Mett from his sofa.

Been doing it for 8 years, you just noticed?

We play down to our level of competition. Coaching issue.

considering we basically never lose when we are supposed to win, I suppose your theory is junk. And if it is the reason, it also means we play up to our competition...and I am ok with that.
AU and Arky were stupid. Ole Miss and Clemson were both capable teams that could beat a lot of folks.

Failed strategy?

yea - I know we play down but I always felt it was strategic. Last year was different.
The Mett thing I agree with. I dont know about him. His feet are cement. He moves like Vlade Divac in the pocket. I dont know why we havn't had a baller qb in so long. But hopefully with protection he will do better. He missed many throws even with time though.
But the D at the end of the Day gave up the drive. I still cant believe that. That was for crystal. In the valley of death. at night. LOUD.
Damn It frick shite

None of your posts make sense man. At all.

Go look at the schedule results and you will understand. We were so close to winning it all - but some games wtf?
Its a pretty easy thread to follow.

How do you suppose my theory is junk? If you watch games, then the proof is there. It all boils back down to Miles caring strictly about the end result as opposed to the process of doing things at a high level all the time.
