I think Karma favors us this year.

Its my optimistic nature, but I bet we have some hosses waiting to get on the field and destroy some folk.

2011, 2007, 2006, and 2005 all Top 10 FBS in Margin of Victory.
Guess you didn't think I could back it up.

Maybe you got some link showing Miles LSU teams at the bottom?

Au, has always been close minus 2 games under miles that we dominated them. Others were after the Bama game and looked like some were packing it in. Just funny how Bama, Ole miss, ark game the offense wasnt the problem. Lot of youngsters played and our veterans were probably just seeing $$$$.

I still find it funny that everyone over looks that we completely destroyed UW. They werent a bad team and beat Stanford. their worst loss was us, they put 21 points up on oregon.

People just hate Miles for no reason other than hes not Saban. 2002 was worse than anything Miles has fielded. 2004 is rt on par with 2009.

We know that our captain sonic Sam took it easy in those games.

Our offense away from Tiger Stadium was atrocious. You have to score to blow teams out.

We play down to our level of competition. Coaching issue.

LSU has been doing this my whole life. Explains why Saban never went undefeated and why he lost less than 3 games once. We still had no business losing to a shite ron zook uf team in 03. But yeah, coaching issues.

2011 was a great season. Outside of that LSU plays almost every SEC game close.

2005: 6/9 SEC games decided by 4 points or less or a loss.
2006: 5/8 SEC games decided by 5 points or less or a loss.
2007: 7/9 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
2008: 7/8 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
2009: 6/8 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
2010: 6/8 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.
2011 was great.
2012: 7/8 SEC games decided by 7 points or less or a loss.

How do you suppose my theory is junk? If you watch games, then the proof is there. It all boils back down to Miles caring strictly about the end result as opposed to the process of doing things at a high level all the time.

Miles will punt and play defense all day if it gets a win. There's a video of him saying this to the team after the Kentucky game in 2011. He's been great at getting wins most of the time but it's tough on the fans.

Auburn still had a shot to have some sort of season. We hadn't figured out the OL problem at the time. They played tough. They were different after that game.

It's difficult to get "up" to play teams like Towson, Idaho, North Texas..... Not trying to make excuses but that's the facts. I expected us to walk over all 3. Towson was a scrappy little team.

Arkansas always plays us tough.

We followed the trend of us "playing down" to our opponents, that I wish would stop. I don't care who we play, come out and blow them out of the stadium. Be nice after the game. I'm not saying run up the score like Urban Meyer tended to do at UF or try to get it into the 50-3 score, but get up by a good bit, then start getting vanilla.

Given the chance, the other team would do it to us. Be it Towson, North Texas, Furman, whoever.

That's exactly what happened with Clemson. We played down to them because "they're Clemson." And look what happened. It came back to bite us.

I'm not pointing fingers or anything of the sort, it happens. That said, it's a trend that I personally wish would cease. Get up big early, then be nice. If the other coach had our talent, they'd do it to us.

Here's to seeing a powerful offense this season. I can't wait to see it.

Mett played like complete garbage in every game not in Tiger Stadium.

Home: 8 Games, 64%, 8.5 YPA, 9 TDs, 5 INTs, 15 Sacks, 144 Rating
Away: 5 Games, 50%, 5.7 YPA, 3 TDs, 2 INTs, 17 Sacks, 103 Rating

For the Ole Miss game, the defense didn't show up. That is why those games were close.

I think this explains a lot of it.

The team wasn't really a team last year. Individually, great players. But they didn't look like they gave a frick. Bad chemistry, lot of leftover animosity from the way 2011 ended.

Hopefully some leaders step up this season.
