First up: A crawfish & avocado amuse bouche, an unordered treat from the chef. A truly tasty bite, there was some pickled element that I couldn't identify. My husband didn't want his, so I had two!
We shared this appetizer of braised pork cheeks with bacon jam, pork jus and butternut squash puree. Absolutely sublime.
My entree: Cedar Planked Baked Redfish with tomatoes, fresh pesto, balsamic syrup. Portion size was perfect for me. There was nothing for a to go box.
My husband's entree: I probably wouldn't ever order lasagna, but he wanted to compare it to Nash's (which he loves). He said it was excellent, but Nash's edges it out. (Shouldn't the cheese on top be meltier?)
It was my husband's birthday. Dessert for him: White Chocolate Bread Pudding (not sure of the sauce). He LOVED it. Said it was very custard like, which is his favorite way to have it.
Next time I will have the prime rib or possibly order several things from the appetizer menu. The table next to us had the shrimp corndogs (great presentation) and the seared tuna on a Himalayan salt plate that was absolutely gorgeous. Would have also like to try the wood roasted oysters.
May I just say that someone who is trying to low carb it should not be the person you count on to review a restaurant. I turned down the beautiful fresh bread that was offered to the table and didn't choose any of the days specials because of the carb factor. It limits your choices considerably. No risotto or crabmeat cheesecake or pasta dishes for me.

I had the plank roasted salmon last time I was there... Tasted good but it was literally the smallest piece of fish I'd ever been served, or bought and cooked myself.
I could have eaten three of them.,, seriously I'd been embarrassed to send it out to a table.

Looks amazing, darla.
The only way around the photobucket problem I've found is to edit and save the photo.. And then screenshot it so it saves as a new photo.

I was trying to figure out what those tomatoes were atop your fish. They look deliciously roasted. Nice meal report.

A Bloody Mary and a Margarita on the rocks? Odd choice, but whatever works?
