Facilities and aesthetics alone would probably make LSU the better choice for your kid.

I experienced both growing up. I live in Lafayette so was only a commuter to that one, but both were well run as I remember. They both focus on fundamentals obviously, but your son will enjoy either. I had more fun at the one in Baton Rouge mainly because I grew up as a LSU fan and it was 4 days away from home in a hotel room with pizza every night. Also I remember other fun activities after the baseball like going to the student union, going swimming and watching highlight videos with the players at the LSU camp. Those memories stick out as much as the experiences of the actual camp.

Marucci Elite's camp is way better than LSU camp. Brad Cresse is in charge and does an awesome job.

Nephew went to the LSU camp at Thanksgiving this past year and had a blast. He's played the last 6 years under a high school coach on a majors team. So he's not a noob, he knows the game. He picked up A LOT. It's made a big difference this year.

I agree with Marucci being the better one. I would suggest going to watch a day or two at a prior session, if you can. LSU/ULL are more babysitting services. You do get minimal instruction done by LSU players because most of them are off playing summer ball.

Having experienced them all and having coached the LSU camps along with working at Marucci I would suggest LSU. Will does a great job at monitoring and if your kid wants to learn he can soak up a whole lot. Doesn't get better than experiencing the box and everything it has to offer.

LSU is designed for the kids to have fun
ULL is basically the same

The facilities are obviously nicer at LSU. The coaches are there to have fun and make it an enjoyable time

Marucci is more intense and better suited for the older dedicated player. My kids done all three and loves LSU the most simply because its designed for the kids to have fun not neccesarily make huge leaps in performance.

For some reason I cannot bookmark this thread. So I'll just post a comment.

My son is going to the LSU camp in 2 days.

Haha I don't know why in the hell it posted 3 Times. But I do recommend the LSU camps. Trust. Kid will have an ezexperience very few get to have plus if he wants to learn he will. The college coaches and players they bring in know what they're doing. Will Davis runs a great camp.

I went to a camp/showcase a few years back when I was in high school and the only thing that I didn't like about their camp was that if you weren't known to the staff or the marucci prospects, they don't really care about you tbh. I remember I tried out for marucci there and it was also a LSU showcase. I was in the same hitting group as Andrew Stevenson. Everyone knew who he was but didn't care to pay attention to my BP on the field. I remember he didn't have a great day, hit a lot of pop ups and was pull happy. While It was my turn, I hit about 4 or 5 out in about the 10 pitches I got to swing at, but bone of the scouts or coaches watched me swing, primarily because of politics. I didn't mean to bash him or the program by any means, he is going to have a bright future for the tigers. I was just confused and disappointed by how they run their camps and showcases. The plus side is, they do give you free marucci bats ??
