We've reached that dead point of the off-season and I have some catching up to do on the Saints, I haven't been able to keep up with it all like I normally do.

What's going on with our receivers since Devery left?

What about our runningbacks?

How's our defense looking with Rob Ryan? and what exactly will Vaccaro's/Harper's/Jenkins's roles be?

What about our cornerbacks?

Victor Butler is gone for the year so it looks like Martez Wilson will be a full time starter for the first time in his young career???

we were snake bit at LB last year with injuries, not liking the start to this season either at that position...

In fairness, has there ever been an off-season during the Sean Payton era that at least one guy didn't have a leg?

Were we really banking on Butler to be a key difference maker? How will our LBs align since we're moving to a 3-4 - Vilma, Lofton inside - Wilson and (who?) outside rushers?

We'll know more after training camp.

Morgan really took over for Devery last year and is probably the favorite to keep that third spot. I'm a big fan of Rookie K. Stills though. Good receiver, good hands, tough and fast. Toon will likely back up Colston. Don't overlook Ben Watson as a back up tight end. Has some receiving skills too.

Running backs are the same besides Ivory who went to NYJ. It will be a PT, Sproles and Ingram rotation. Cadet will have to battle for a spot.

Best question you didn't ask: Who will be our starting LT? Charles Brown, Jason Smith and Armstead will battle through Pre season for the spot.

We don't know anything about the defense yet, other than we will be running a 3-4 and Will Smith is playing OLB. Keenan Lewis is probably the starting CB with Greer. Butler is out for the year with a blown up knee. Vacarro will battle with Jenkins, IAQ and Harper for PT.

That's all I got.

Yes we were banking on Butler.

Lofton will be inside. Vilma & Hawthorn will likely be inside too.

Gallette will be our outsider pass rusher more than likely. Will Smith will be an OLB.

Martez Wilson can probably play inside and outside although most on here think he stays outside.

Rufus Johnson may also play some OLB.

he was slated to start as far as I know. He had been a backup in Dallas but he knew Ryan's defense and supposedly graded out well for Dallas last year.

Galette should have a big opportunity this year. I think he's the best rusher we have on the outside at this point... hopefully he can take his game to a higher level. He'll have more chances to do so I think.

Good shite, thanks.

Was Devery a FA? And who, in your opinion, has the lead to be our LT? I know, I'm slacking...usually I'm on top of everything but this off-season I just haven't been.

It's not as bad as Aaron Hernandez's. That's good enough for me.

Yeah. He just signed with the Redskins.

It will either be Charles Brown (injury concerns), Jason Smith (former #5 overall pick of St. Louis who hasn't panned out yet) or Terron Armstead (3rd round pick out of ArKansas Pine-Bluff) Brown was hurt for most of OTAs and Armstead and Smith rotated with the starters. We'll know more after training camp.

Coltson and Moore ball as usually. Morgan takes over Henderson's spot. Toon is big like Colston; looks like a tightend. Stills is a rookie. I'm not expecting much. Andy Tanner could surprise and make the roster.

Nothing great, but could be solid.

The same minus Ivory.

OTA's are fools gold. There's no real contact, so the pass rush always looks sick. The secondary is a little easier to evaluate though.

Haven't heard much about Harper. He sat out the last week of OTA's. No reason was given.

I've heard Jenkins has had his struggles.

Vacarro is reportedly all over the place, and takes of Colston in the slot and holds his own. I'm excited about this kid.

Bush has jumped IAQ in the depth chart (as of now), which is surprising since I thought IAQ could push Jenkins for the starting FS job.

So far so good. They're rotating a lot. Corey White has gotten good reports. Looks like P-Rob is building his confidence back. We know what we have in Greer. Lewis has rotated in and out with the first team. He's the future.

A guy to keep an eye on is rookie Rod Sweeting. He's been making some plays.

He was actually the #2 overall pick. Not that it's a significant difference. The guy has the physical tools. He could just never put it all together.

I knew it was high, but didn't realize it was 2.

He was with the Jets last year and played the tackle eligble position for them and from what I've read, he did well when he did play for them. I hope he's put it together and realizes that talent here.

Some solid OL have had slow starts and changed teams and gone on to long careers.

That really has bummed me out! I was real excited about Butler and I know Ingram has a lot to prove to us this year, but damn son its OTA"s calm yourself....
