Coming from someone who grew up on Slick Rick and Dougie Fresh, today's rap music is pure garbage.

I agree to some extent. But the group I mentioned is actually pretty talented, they just work with shitty rappers that bring them down.

You like old school 90's rap right? Then Joey BadA$$ is right up your' alley man. His flow, lyrical material and production definitely hearken back to old school Mobb Deep, Black Star type tracks. Don't shite on all rappers today because rap on the radio is complete sub-par crap. You just have to sort of dig deep to find tracks that are good.
