Fresh Eggs and Smoked Sausage Breakfast

I have a few errands to run today and since the hens laid some fresh eggs early this morning I decided to have a little breakfast. I turned on the gas grill outside and tossed a few links of smoked sausage on to grill. I went back inside and got some grits going to go along with the eggs and sausage. Why not?
Sausage on the grill and smelling great early in the morning. Reminds me of camping.
Eggs sunnyside up done!
Plated with some cheesy grits.
Something was missing in that last picture. I had some French bread left from the other night so I toasted up some and slice it lengthwise to better dip into the egg yolks.
This is much better!
Mmmm.... delicious warm and rich egg yolk.

My previous boss had his own chickens and would give just about everyone he knew a carton pretty regularly. Nothing much better than fresh eggs

Damn that looks tasty...only thing I would add is a little apple butter to dip the bread and sausage in

Bravo.
I'm kind of hungover so I think I'm just going to drink coffee and wait til lunch to eat.
is there a huge difference eating fresh eggs than getting them at the store? I've never had freshly laid eggs before
