I'm dealing with guilt when I look at my huge arse library of games on PC and realize I haven't beaten 25 percent of them. I am trying to put a dent in some of the titles that I've heard a lot of good about before I buy anymore games. (Steam summer sale is going to frick that up)

I've been bouncing between Bioshock Infinite, State of Decay and Far Cry 3 currently and I am just not having any fun on Far Cry 3. It's repetitive as frick. All I seem to be doing is changing scenery each time I unlock an area and doing the same shite...climb a tower, save an outpost, read some flyers, rinse, wash, repeat.

Is there more to this game than that because I've put quite a few hours into already and apparently I'm not very far into it..But I just can't seem to find much about the game that's fun. I just don't want to quit it if it's going to liven up!

ETA: Bioshock Infinite is fun as frick though. The story totally has me interested. I've never played Bioshock 1 or 2 but this one is awesome.

I felt the same way about Far Cry 3. I got bored with it and stopped playing. Seemed too much of a chore.

And give Bioshock 1 a try. It's amazing.

Is the story independent from Bioshock Infinite?

Yes sir I do believe. I just loved the whole feel and environment of being in an underwater city.

Oh, That's awesome. I wasn't aware it was set underwater. That's pretty cool considering Infinite is set in the sky.

Bioshock 1 and infinite are separate stories. You don't need to play one to understand the other. There are some cool parallels and implied connections between the two that boost the experience if you play both.

Bioshock original is worth playing for the plot twist alone. Trust me on this. Mindblowing.

I read the changelog...Seems to be tweaks and additional weapons. I don't think that's really my problem with the game.. But I'll give this mod a try to see if it helps any.

If you want the best experience, I would finish Bioshock 1 first, then finish Bioshock Infinite, then finish Far Cry 3. FC3 has fun gameplay mechanics, but the story is lackluster.

Add another one for bioshock seal of approval. I had it for 3 years before I finally played it. Great game. It doesn't take forever, its fun, great story, great environment, multiple endings...just a great game

forreal tho, Far Cry 3 is an awesome game. however, it's only good for a playthrough since it doesn't have much replayability.
