I hate to be a sensationalist and overreact to this series, but the Finals against the Heat/James is the biggest stage he may ever play on, and he played like a boss.

Averaged 15/11 (only guy other than James and Duncan to average a double double) and shot 51% from the field. His first two games in Miami were kind of rough, but he found his offense and made some big shots in the final two games. I know people will harp on his missed FT, but this kid delivered. As good as Paul George is, I think Leonard challenged Lebron on both ends just as well, if not better, than George. He made a number of positive plays against the best player in the league and played the most minutes on the team.

What can we expect out of him going forward? He's got great size and athleticism, he's a solid 1-on-1 defender and is active in help, and he has a pretty solid inside/outside game for a young guy. Is he a 20ppg guy next year if Manu is off the team? All-Star?

ETA: If Manu returns, or they pick up another scorer, I still think he's a 16/9 type of guy next season.

I don't think he'll ever be that 20 ppg scorer... that said, he doesn't need to be. I think he'll be a Loul Deng type player which is more than solid.

He's an incredible rebounder, but his D on Lebron this series was a bit over-stated.

All he did for 6 games was sag off Lebron which worked since his jumper was off. The same strategy basically cost the Spurs game 7 when LBJ finally found his range.

I thought he did a great job in the post and in transition. Diaw played great D when Lebron's jumper was off, but he couldn't handle Lebron when he took him off the dribble. Does anyone know how many fastbreak points Lebron had in this series? That's where the Heat can kill teams, but Leonard did a great job of staying with him.

Pop said after Game 5 or 6 that he wanted Leonard to assert himself more offensively, which is a pretty big compliment considering he's a 21 year old that averaged 12ppg during the regular season. I think the potential is there to be a 20ppg guy.

ETA: @lob Joe Bonamassa is coming to NOLA on 11/26

I am now a fan of Leonards now after watching the finals. The guy is quite and aggressive on the boards and never gets too emotional. I enjoyed watching him play
