Estadio Saprissa, avoided.

The game will be played in the Estadio Nacional, widely considered the nicest venue in the nation. Well manicured, grass pitch.

So I was going to post a picture, but as it happens there are only about 140 Estadio Nacional's across the globe.

That stadium almost makes you forget that you're watching a game from Central America

How about someone post a picture of Saprissa so we can see what we're avoiding. Also, we have never won in Costa Rica in qualifying.

Tremendous news...superb pitch but in a multi-purpose stadium where the fans are far away from the players. I watched the second half of their home match with Panama and noticed right away that the environment was not intimidating in the least. Let's get a result.

How do you know?

You people seem to forget that they will choose the proper height and moisture content for their purposes, with respect to the match.

The pitch was amazing in the Panama match despite a consistent rainstorm throughout. Unless they decide to intentionally screw it up, the surface should be ideal. They like to play the beautiful game on the carpet, so I doubt they will make it less consistent to hurt us.

And that pitch is 1000 times better than the Saprissa fake, ragged out carpet.

Wow, that's a stadium in Central America that I wouldn't mind going to.
