Rank Spo' among current NBA coaches

He's in a no-win situation. Everyone expects them to win every year, and so everyone thinks that they could do his job. But I actually think he's a pretty good coach.

I'd rank "best coaches today" (including those just fired) as:

1st tier Pops
2nd tier Carlisle/Rivers
3rd tier Karl/Hollins/Adelman/Vogel/Thibs
...
Last tier Scott Brooks!!!

I would put Spo in tier 3 maybe. Still pretty young. Can get even better.

That's the thing though. People give Carlisle a lot of credit in 2011 with Dallas, but with Spo everyone always discounts him and says "well anyone could win with LeBron "

Spo is a good coach. He had to sell Pat Riley on the small ball thing, and making that change in the middle of the Pacers series last year after not playing that way all season has now led to back to back titles and one of the longest winning streaks in NBA history

The Heat were MASSIVE favorites over the Mavs

No shite RC gets more credit. He should.
