Go ahead and just release him.

Hopefully he plays again Saturday. I'll take another red card gift from him in a heartbeat.

Not going to happen. Rested Giroud, Ozil, Ramsey, Sagna, Gibbs and Cazorla.

Saw Frimpong play a number of times for an absolutely shite Fulham team last year, and he looked like a squad/rotation player at best. For (and I can't emphasize this enough) an absolutely shite squad that could have been relegated in other years.
His level is a solid championship defensive midfielder from everything that I've seen (some Arsenal, some Fulham).
Always looked like a red card waiting to happen, granted it didn't actually happen.

Frimpong was a beast at the youth level. Best tackler at that age I've ever seen. Also he's an absolute physical specimen. With two good knees he's PL quality, though his game going forward lacks something. He's a destroyer in the strictest sense of the word. He was as promising as Wilshere, as they both were destined for first team minutes the same year, until Frimpong tore his ACL. He hasn't been the same since. Then he tore his other ACL. I'd be surprised if he was even Championship level right now. It's a shame as he is a magnificent athlete, and one of the strongest players I've ever seen.

We have very different recollections of Frimpong. I mean, he was a very bright prospect but not at Jack's level. He might've been PL level eventually, but I'm not sure if, even if healthy, he becomes an Arsenal regular.

I'm certain he was going to feature in 2010, when he played against Boca Juniors in the Emirates Cup. He certainly was never as talented as Wilshere, but he filled a very specific role, a role we've been trying to fill since Flamini left. Who knows what would have happened if he stayed healthy, as I've never seen a player of his age as strong as he was. Remember Riquelme, of all people, singled him out for praise.
If anything, the talent was there, but the mentality and luck wasn't. He's a hot-head on the field, but part of it was that he tried to do too much rather than let the game come to him. He could have been PL quality within a couple of years, if he progressed. He was about as good as Alex Song was at 19, maybe a little better, but Song had few long term injuries and had a better mentality, which allowed him to develop into a good midfielder.

barring more injury, you'll likely see a
Szcz
Sagna-Per-Kos-Gibbs
Arteta-Jack
Rambo-Ozil-Santi
Giroud
XI
basically full strength less Theo

Here's to hoping Chelsea goes studs up.
Ok not really. That'd be pretty dick. How about just a few bone bruises that heal in a weeks time?

He should have had a first half hat trick against Sunderland. Can't wait until he is on form with Muslim Jesus.
