Blake Dean's Future at LSU

It sounds like Blake isn't coming back next year to coach (via twitter). Was this planned to be a 1 year deal? I think he's great for our team and program and would hate to see him go

I think he is already looking for a coaching job.

I can't imagine he'll have a hard time with a recommendation from Mainieri

He was an undergraduate assistant finishing up his General Studies degree.

I don't think GA's or "volunteer" assistants are limited to any number of years, but you can only have one of them and two full time paid assistants. Dean was just an undergrad assistant, and now is no longer an undergrad.

yeah I was in his class too. He had all kinds of trouble figuring out how to email the class.

You are only allowed to have 3 paid coaches. Only 5 coaches can dress in uniform
