Scott McKay posted on FB that he is hearing that Hill will only miss a couple games. Scott usually has some decent sources so hopefully he is on the mark with this one.

Usually I wouldn't have posted this, but tonight has sucked, so I figured I would try to spread some cheer.

But, but, but what about all the insider blowhards who "know people" and to trust them that Hill's situation is "much worse than we know"??

Said all along this would blow over in time.

He's still slated tO miss some games? That's sucks. So we're pretty much rolling with Blue and Hilliard...and I guess Magee. Blue better stay healthy, we're mighty thin.

What I said was that based on what I heard tonight he'll be available early in the season.

Meaning that whatever he gets is more likely to come from Miles and/or the athletic department than other sources of authority.

One can assume that LSU would impose some discipline on him. What that is, I can't speak to.

Fresh legs for later in the season.

Sorry if I misrepresented what you posted.......

I'll alter my original post if you like.

Honestly, I was glad to hear what you had posted, because I heard some of the it's more serious than everyone is letting on talk at the Super.

Hill should be doing some service work in his free time so he can get on the field faster.

It's cool. I just want to make sure folks don't misunderstand.

You hear all the time that Hill is done, he won't play and so on. What I heard tonight is that kind of thing would only be in play if Miles or Alleva or Alexander or somebody at LSU would decide on it. Maybe that's how it'll go, but I don't interpret it that way and I didn't hear anything to make me think that.

We still lose a little rep for his offense but I'm glad he's playing. If he stays healthy and clean, he will make a huge difference.

If Blue gets injured we'll still roll with a third year, All SEC caliber back. The drop off from Blue to Hilliard is very small compared to the drop off from Hill to Blue.

And when Hilliard needs a blow, we have Magee, who the coaches have been high on all along. I'm not concerned unless we have two injuries before Hill gets back. If that happens we're probably putting WRs back there.
